Mimi Vu is an associate in O’Melveny’s San Francisco office and a member of the Financial Services Practice. She represents clients in complex litigation and government enforcement actions. Her practice focuses on data privacy and consumer financial services, and she regularly advises clients on these issues. Before working at O’Melveny, Mimi gained first-hand experience in the enforcement of consumer financial laws at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) in Washington, D.C., and the California Attorney General’s Office in San Francisco. At the CFPB, Mimi analyzed a range of issues relating to the CFPB’s enforcement authority under Title X of the Dodd-Frank Act. At the California Attorney General’s Office, she assisted in a high-profile enforcement action involving mortgage rescue services. Before law school, Mimi worked at one of the largest non-profit social service organizations in the country, where she managed compliance with federal and state privacy and employment laws.
