Mr. Qiang Yu is a Ph.D. research fellow at the Europa Institute of Leiden University Law School. His research focuses on regulating information good markets under competition law rules, the specific market is the software market. He analyses, in particular, his project on regulating dominant market position abuse by giant firms in the software market. He has published widely on legal and economic issues of regulating information good market in peer-reviewed journals in China and Western academia. His recently research and published papers focus on software tying arrangements and resale price maintenance in the software market. Qiang’s current research and publications focus on regulating exclusive dealing in the software market and interoperability information disclosure between platform software and application software. His research particularly seeks to shed light on the role of competition rule in regulating information intensive product market.
